Here is the pretty girl after having her feet cleaned. She is mostly good about being still.

 

 

I ride her with reins clipped to her halter and no saddle or pad. Especially when it is so hot I don't want her to have to lug a saddle around, though I'll probably put a saddle on for the more serious trailrides. Today we just walked around the stable yard, opening gates, going over rumpled plastic sheeting, saying hi to the mares in the pasture.
