Here she is the
moment she came off the trailer!
She arrived on
the morning of August 16th, 2004.
I saw her for
sale on The
Bay Area Equestrian Network and drove 1000 miles round trip
to meet her. I had been saving for some time to get a horse and
she is the horse I have wanted since I was a little kid! A beautiful,
calm, clever black-and-white spotted horse. I have been waiting
for her to get here a long time and was so excited when she got
off the trailer today!
We put her in
the round pen to let her stretch her legs after the trip up from
the Encnitas area to the Oakland Bay Area.
I am keeping
her at a Natural Horsemanship EcoRanch. I have been interested
in NH for years and now I finally get to really learn it along
with my new mare! Her breeder called her "Barbie" and
so did the nice lady I bought her from, probably because the mare
is cute as a doll. But I've never in my life had a Barbie. I have
like 300 Breyer horses, but no dollies! So I decided to call her
something else if she seemed OK with a new name. I am calling
her Sugar, because she is so sweet!
