Juana Terrazas

I am a young Californian who was born an artist and first availed myself of my God-given talents as a toddler (on the wall of our family's living room with a black marker). Horses are my favourite animals and I feel a spiritual connection with them which is why they frequently show up in my work. I use them to represent everything from (human) people to the natural world to the Divine.

Besides painting them, my true goal is to be around as many real ones as I can! I sold a ton of jewelry in 2004 and saved up enough to (finally!) get my own! She is a young registered Paint, and she has her own site. I call her Sugar Pie and love her dearly.

I also have two dogs, a 115 lb. Bernese/Akita mix and a 2.5 lb Chihuahua. These are as close as I plan on getting to actual kids!

If I had to classify myself I'd call myself a raw artist ("arte brut"). Somewhat reclusive and very introverted, I am my own most involved art project.
